The award was presented by the Hon. Jenny Rivera of the New York Court of Appeals (the state’s highest court) during the Network of Bar Leaders’ Annual Awards Reception, held at the historic Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse. The courthouse is home to the famed U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where some of the most impactful trials in the country have taken place. The event brought together high-level judges, attorneys, and bar association leaders from across the region to recognize outstanding service to the profession.
Kohan, who recently concluded his term as President of the Network of Bar Leaders and has held numerous other leadership and pro bono roles, was recognized for advancing the legal profession through collaboration, leadership, and service. The Network of Bar Leaders is a coalition of more than 60 bar associations throughout the Greater New York metropolitan area that works to strengthen communication and cooperation among bar leaders.
