The Luxury Pergola Introduces 18-Foot Louver, the Longest of Any Louvered-Pergola Sold in America

The Luxury Pergola, a family-owned manufacturer of commercial-grade aluminum pergola kits, today announced the launch of an 18-foot louver, the longest single-bay louver of any louvered pergola sold in America. The new configuration begins shipping in August 2026.

The 18-foot louver allows homeowners and designers to span wider outdoor spaces in a single bay without a center post breaking up the 18-foot span. Until now, industry-leading louvered pergola systems have topped out at 16 feet, forcing wider projects into a two-bay configuration. The Luxury Pergola is the first manufacturer in America to engineer a single-bay louver at 18 feet while maintaining commercial-grade structural performance. Wind ratings up to 200 mph and snow loads up to 30 pounds per square foot (psf) are available depending on hardware configuration, site engineering, and confirmation during the design consultation.

“We started this company because the pergola market needed a commercial-grade product that was easy to install and also affordable,” said Scott Elmore, founder and CEO of The Luxury Pergola. “Over the past few years, we kept encountering the same problem: customers who wanted one, open outdoor space but were being told they had to accept a post in the middle of their view. That answer never sat right with us. So we got to work. We’re proud to be the first to solve this problem, and even prouder that we can offer it to our customers at transparent, factory-direct pricing, with no middleman markups, from our facility right here in the USA.”

How the 18-Foot Louver Changes Wider Installations

For projects wider than 16 feet, competitor’s dealer-installed systems must specify a two-bay configuration, which adds one or two structural posts in the middle of the pergola or a heavier support beam. These structural changes, along with the additional aluminum, labor and installation costs of a second bay, can increase the cost of the pergola for the homeowner by as much as 30%.

The new configuration is available in all four of The Luxury Pergola’s standard finishes — Onyx, Bronze, Sandstone, and Alpine — and includes the company’s lifetime, transferrable warranty covering the original structure and motorized louver mechanism against defects. The Luxury Pergola is one of the few manufacturers in the category to extend lifetime defect coverage to electrical and mechanical components in addition to the structural frame.
