Parking Lot Striping Reorganizes Customer and Commuter Areas

The strip mall parking lot had not been repainted in many years, according to the project page. The property owner also allowed local residents to use part of the lot for commuter parking, creating a need for clearer boundaries between commuter and customer spaces.

EverLine crews marked 60 stalls in green paint to designate commuter parking. The team also added yellow hash markings to block unauthorized parking areas and repainted stall lines, handicap spaces, directional arrows, stop lines and fire lanes. Before the project began, the team met with the owner on site to review minor layout adjustments.

ADA Updates Address Van-Accessible Parking Requirements

The project included ADA-related upgrades after the property was identified as out of compliance with requirements for van-accessible handicap stalls. EverLine converted two existing stalls into van-accessible spaces and reclaimed adjacent stalls by striping them as no-parking zones.

The work carries practical value for a shared commercial lot used by retail customers and local residents using commuter parking. By separating commuter and customer areas and refreshing critical pavement markings, the project made the lot’s intended use easier to understand for customers and commuters.
