October exhibition brings together art, prayer and a mission to protect our planet
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Impact Artist Ekaterina Sky will bring Prayer for the Earth to Beverly Hills this October, a deeply personal body of work centered on art and protecting the planet. The series was exhibited at the Coral Gables Museum during Miami Art Week in 2024.
Each painting in Prayer for the Earth holds something the viewer cannot see: a handwritten prayer for the planet, concealed beneath sustainable 24K gold leaf. The prayers are sealed. No one will ever read them.
The belief that art can reach people beyond words is deeply rooted in Ekaterina’s own life. Growing up, she and her mother traveled from country to country in search of a better life. Often unable to speak the language around her, Ekaterina found her own language through art.
“Art was a survival mechanism. It was my own language that I had to learn,” said Ekaterina. “I do speak four languages, and art is the fifth one and the main one that I feel can speak beyond words.”
That belief is at the heart of Prayer for the Earth: using art to help people see, feel and ultimately care about the world around them.
A journey to Borneo helped give that purpose a new direction. Ekaterina traveled into what she expected to be ancient rainforest and instead encountered palm plantations where forests had once stood. The experience, and the people she met there, changed the way she thought about what her art could do beyond the canvas. She later returned to paint a mural there with the conservation organization Health In Harmony.
Today, Ekaterina describes her approach as Impact Art, creating work intended not only to be experienced, but to make a tangible difference. Through ourlifeforce.org, that vision extends to planting 165 native trees for each person who takes part.
Prayer for the Earth will be presented in Beverly Hills this October at an exclusive private location. The intimate exhibition will be open to invited guests only.

Ekaterina Sky is an artist whose paintings plant forests. Working in watercolor and sustainable 24K gold leaf on archival paper, she seals handwritten prayers beneath the gold of her Prayer for the Earth series, from which We Are One was exhibited at the Coral Gables Museum during Miami Art Week in 2024. Her painting Forests of the World has been presented on stage at Carnegie Hall in New York and at COP30, the United Nations climate conference in Brazil.
